MLS source, pricing method & coverage

Source updated Oct 2, 2026, 1:35 PM Central. Counts use eligible public listings matched to the labeled geography. Sale prices use positive asking prices on Active Residential listings; the median is shown with at least three priced listings. These are asking prices, not sold prices, valuations or all homes in the area. Rentals are counted separately; no rent period is assumed.

Under-contract and pending counts describe records currently in this feed. Location errors and omitted coordinates can affect boundary matches. The initial active-listing import is complete. Different areas can overlap; do not add their counts together.

Windsor Road: a park’s new name and a familiar pool

Don Baylor Neighborhood Park and Westenfield Pool now illustrate why local names need care. The city renamed the park to honor the Austin baseball figure, while the pool’s current facility listing still uses Westenfield.

Austin Texas Things editorial research · imported . Original source check dates appear below.

A park renamed for Don Baylor

A May 2025 city ordinance renamed Westenfield Neighborhood Park as Don Baylor Neighborhood Park. It identifies the park at 2008 Enfield Road. [2]

A trail connection in the ordinance

The city’s renaming document describes the park as the northern end of the Johnson Creek Hike and Bike Trail. It provides geographic context alongside the commemorative name. [2]

The pool keeps its own listing

The city lists Westenfield Pool at 2000 Enfield Road, with a wading area, shade structures and a chair lift. At the source check, the pool was marked closed for the winter season. [1]

Before you visit

  • Use the right name for park or pool

Search Don Baylor Neighborhood Park for the park and Westenfield Pool for swimming information. The two city addresses also differ slightly. [2][1]

  • Check the pool’s seasonal information

Use the dedicated Westenfield Pool page before planning a swim. A park-name change does not change the need to check swimming hours and access. [1]

A few local questions

Why do some sources still call the park Westenfield?

The city renamed the park through a May 2025 ordinance. Older references can retain the former name, and the pool is still listed separately as Westenfield Pool. [2][1]

Who does the park’s new name honor?

The city ordinance honors Don Edward Baylor, an Austin-born Major League Baseball player, coach and manager whose career included a World Series championship. [2]

Sources & sync dates

Rollup generated Oct 2, 2026 from the research database behind Zabalist. Point layers (permits, site plans, registrations, subdivisions, projects, inspections, crashes, 311) are counted within the stated radius of the reference point; TABC licenses and code cases are counted for the attached postal ZIP when one is available, and here that ZIP was inferred from the reference point rather than supplied. 311 counts exclude requests marked duplicate or cancelled; "open" counts requests that are open or in progress. A database sync date is when our copy was refreshed, not when the agency record last changed. Absence of a record is not evidence that nothing happened; reporting delays, missing addresses and later amendments all affect coverage.

Some names identify a phase, section or replat rather than a separate neighborhood.

Each neighborhood is placed by testing its own approximate footprint against a published City, Census or municipal boundary, or by matching the name its listings report. Footprints are estimates assembled from recorded plats and listing locations. This is a browsing relationship. It does not establish shared HOA membership, legal boundaries or services, and county identities stay with each place. Listing counts were recorded on ; open a neighborhood for its current homes.
