AUSTIN – Foundation Communities is turning the Townplace Suites at Marriott
into an affordable housing community called Balcones Terrace.

The $26.5 million project will have 123 efficiency units. Thirty-one will be
for those earning ​at or below 30 percent of the median family income, 31 for
those at or below 40 percent, and 61 for those at or below 50 percent.

The city provided $2.6 million for the project.
